Haruko Seki performs all 24 of Chopin’s Preludes from Op.28. An  unforgettable journey through every major and minor key and a myriad of emotions. Biographer Jeremy Nicholas writes that “Even on their own, the 24 Preludes would have ensured Chopin’s claim to immortality.”[

There is also beautiful music from Saint-Saens and one of the greatest 20th Century ballets – Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet.

Featuring original authentic transcriptions by Steve Law of piano playing by Gershwin, Fats Waller and Dudley Moore. Also, piano favourites by Scott Joplin, Satie and Barber. Featuring some of Steve Law’s memorable Pop Preludes and finishing with one of the most original and jazzy piano pieces of the 20th Century – the finale to Prokofiev’s 7th Sonata with it’s ingenious 7/8 perpetual rhythm.
